Loose Leaves - Garry Oak

今日のイラストは日本にはないワイトオークの仲間のギャリ―オークという木です。原産は北アメリカの西部でカナダのバンクーバーアイランド近辺によく見られます。この落葉小～高木は牧草地の大事な役割を果たしているのですが、都市開発によって脅かされています。そこで、注目を浴びさせるように、シャプトンさんがとても明るく鮮やかに描いています。
